The Epsilon Rho Chapter at the State University of New York at Geneseo
Alpha Sigma Tau began colonization in the Spring semester of 2013, joining the fraternity and sorority community as the fourth NPC sorority on campus. On April 28, 2013, the Epsilon Rho Chapter became the 87th chapter on the Sorority’s roll and the seventh chapter in the sate of New York. Alpha Sigma Tau National Vice Presidents Alli Miller and Kristin Walker officiated the Installation.
SUNY Geneseo is a selective, public, liberal arts institution with approximately 5,300 undergraduate students. Alpha Sigma Tau identified its regional reputation, proximity to nearby chapters and alumnae, and Fraternity and Sorority Life programming opportunities as factors that would contribute to the success of a new chapter. In addition, Alpha Sigma Tau affiliated a local organization, Phi Eta Psi, whose dedication to the process and core values allowed for a positive transition for both Alpha Sigma Tau and Phi Eta Psi.
