Why do over 1,000 women join Alpha Sigma Tau each year?
Alpha Sigma Tau provides each member with opportunities to build a fun social network and an important professional network through our growing membership. Our sisterhood values the contributions each member makes to our chapter experience.
Alpha Sigma Tau provides each member with leadership opportunities and training through chapter and Panhellenic officer roles. As alumnae, these roles continue with leadership positions within the national organization, in Alumnae Panhellenic Associations, or with local Alpha Sigma Tau alumnae chapters/associations. We recognize women who have been inducted in to Rho Lambda and other leadership honoraries and those who are honored by their communities.
Alpha Sigma Tau provides its members with scholarship opportunities through the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation, Inc. which provides over 30 scholarships to our members each year. With an average chapter cumulative GPA of over 3.0, Alpha Sigma Tau is committed to the academic success of our members. We honor our scholars through our national academic honor society, The Order of the Open Book. We recognize women who have 4.0 cumulative grade point averages and have been tapped for Gamma Sigma Alpha, Order of Omega, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Beta and many other academic societies.
Alpha Sigma Tau provides each member with opportunities to give back to the nation and their local communities through Habitat for Humanity, Pine Mountain Settlement School, and local charities. Each year our members provide over $1,000,000 in donations and volunteer work value as they contribute nearly 60,000 service hours.
Alpha Sigma Tau provides positive opportunities for women to be sisters, leaders, scholars and philanthropists all through our exceptional sisterhood.
