November 10-11, 2017

The National Council enjoyed two days together discussing important strategic and operational topics. A great deal of time was spent reviewing the report from the National Committee Task Force, appointed to objectively assess the National Organization’s approach to Standing Committee leadership and management.

A revision to the Standing Rules was adopted by the National Council. The Governing Documents Committee is no longer required to submit a recommendation with their report of each received and reviewed proposal. Clarification was requested following a call with Professional Registered Parliamentarian Chris Dickey. The National Council accommodated the clarity by removing the requirement, thereby not forcing the Committee to take positions on which they may not wish to do so.

The National Foundation provided an initial overview of Founders Day of Giving 2017. Sisters and friends were incredibly generous over the 27-hour event, raising move than $100,000 for the Foundation.

The Executive Director provided an overview of the organization’s operational goals related to the strategic initiatives of the Sorority.

The Executive Director provided an overview of the 42nd National Convention schedule.
