Establishing a Named Scholarship
Individuals and chapters may establish designated, named scholarships. Such scholarships may be restricted to a general field of study or for members of a specific chapter. Named scholarships are eligible for award distribution after a minimum funding balance is reached. The current funding minimum is $25,000.
To establish a scholarship:
Send a letter indicating the intent to create a scholarship to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Foundation.
A letter of agreement will be sent to the individual/chapter that includes:
- the requirements for the scholarship award
- a contribution schedule to fund the scholarship with at least $25,000 over no more than a five-year period
- how contributions, interest, and expenses will be credited and expensed to the fund
- how and when scholarships may be awarded
