Alpha Rho Chapter-Louise Einstein Scholarship

The Alpha Rho Chapter-Louise Einstein Scholarship is reserved for an alumna of the inactive Alpha Rho Chapter at Youngstown State University or the child or grandchild, male or female, of an alumna of the Alpha Rho Chapter. If more than one applicant, the eldest applicant meeting minimum criteria shall receive the award.

If new applicants are unavailable, recipients may reapply and receive the scholarship as often as enrolled as full-time students. After the year 2030, the scholarship may be awarded as a general scholarship under the scholarship procedure of the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation.

About Louise Einstein

Louise Einstein served as the Chapter Advisor when the Alpha Rho Chapter at Youngstown State University was established in 1968. She was initiated alongside the chapter’s Founding Sisters and served in that role until 1972.

She was also heavily involved with the Youngstown Alumnae Chapter. In 1980, at the 23rd National Convention, Louise received the Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award, which honors an outstanding alumna in good standing who has given exceptional dedication and faithful service to her alumnae chapter and community for a minimum of five years.
