Who is your alumnae chapter or association’s MVP? Recognize her with Alpha Sigma Tau’s 2023 Alumnae Top Tau Award!
The Alumnae Top Tau award is presented annually to a member of each alumnae chapter or association for outstanding service and commitment to her chapter or association and the Sorority. The deadline for alumnae chapters and associations to submit an Alumnae Top Tau is May 15, 2023.
The Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation is awarding $80,000 in scholarships this year. Pass this opportunity along to your alumnae Sisters who:
- Are in graduate school – most scholarships are open to both collegians and alumnae members
- Are seeking professional development – the Dr. Tiffany K. Street Fellowship supports members’ continuous growth and development
- Have children or grandchildren who are studying abroad – the Michael Pyszka Scholarship supports AΣΤ collegiate Sisters or children or grandchildren of alumnae members who are in their study abroad semester in an undergraduate program
- Are in a military family – the Nayle Family Scholarship supports active duty and veteran AΣΤs and their family
We’ve heard you. For too long, we’ve heard officers of alumnae chapters and associations request more tools and resources to operate successfully. The COVID-19 pandemic made it nearly impossible for alumnae groups to have in-person gatherings, and many groups have struggled to retain engagement from their members.
Your work as alumnae group officers is vital to Alpha Sigma Tau’s success and existence. And we want to help make it easier for you to recruit members, foster engagement, and provide the best AΣΤ alumnae experience possible.

Calling all alumnae groups – we want to hear from you! Submit what your group has been up to over the past few months or what you’re planning for the rest of the spring so that you can be included in the next issue of The Anchor.
Have one officer submit your chapter or association update by THIS Friday, March 10!

Night to Reunite 2023
Thursday, April 13, 2023
How is your alumnae group joining in?
Our annual night of sisterhood is back next month, and this is your alumnae group’s best opportunity to meet new alumnae in your area!
Take these steps to create a memorable Night to Reunite event:
- Choose location and time of your event
- Tell your alumnae group members to mark their calendars
- Create a Facebook event and add “Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority” as a cohost for your event.
- Pull a list of alumnae in your area from AΣT Connect. Here are instructions on how to do that!
- Reach out to members in your area who are not currently involved in your alumnae group and invite them to your Night to Reunite event.
- Send a reminder to your members and let them know how excited you are. Start to get a headcount of how many people to expect.
- Promote your Facebook event and invite any more alumnae in your area. Check out this video tutorial on how to promote Facebook events!
- Coordinate any remaining details with your event location host
- Prep your members to encourage them to meet new people. We want newcomers to feel like they’ve made positive connections so that they keep coming back! Refer to this resource on Creating an Inclusive and Welcoming Environment.
- Register your event: coming soon!
