Alpha Sigma Tau coming to Iona University in Fall 2025!

We are thrilled to announce that Alpha Sigma Tau will establish a new chapter at Iona University in New Rochelle, New York.

Home to more than 4,000 students, Iona University is a private Catholic university offering 60+ undergraduate programs and 45 graduate programs. With a student body size and profile similar to many of our thriving chapters across the country, Iona is the perfect fit for Alpha Sigma Tau.

Our new chapter will join a vibrant community of women’s organizations on campus, becoming Iona’s second NPC sorority alongside four local sororities. We’re excited to bring our mission, values, and sisterhood to the Gael community!

“The moment I stepped foot on Iona’s campus this spring, I knew it was the right fit for Alpha Sigma Tau,” said National President Jamie Jones Miller (Psi 1995/James Madison). “Iona’s students are exactly the kind of driven and kind leaders who will shape a strong and meaningful sisterhood. With our strong network of local alumnae ready to answer the call and the continued partnership of Iona’s outstanding team, I’m confident the Epsilon Omega Chapter will become a vibrant and lasting part of Alpha Sigma Tau.”

This chapter, Epsilon Omega, will be the ninth Alpha Sigma Tau chapter established in the state of New York since 1925. Alpha Sigma Tau has a historically strong presence in the Northeast, with over 2,000 alumnae in the NYC area and 50% of our chapters located in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including those nearby at New York University, Marist University, NJIT, and Monmouth University.

While recruitment won’t begin until Fall 2025, we will spend this spring and summer assembling a Chapter Advisory Board (CAB), connecting with the Iona community, and inviting recommendations for potential new members ready to build a lasting sisterhood at Iona.
