Felicia Thompson joins Headquarters Staff as Director of Finance

Alpha Sigma Tau welcomes Felicia Thompson to the Sorority’s Headquarters Staff as Director of Finance. Felicia comes to Alpha Sigma Tau with more than 25 years of accounting experience in for-profit, non-profit, and governmental organizations. As Director of Finance, Felicia will be responsible for the accounting operations of the Sorority and Foundation.

After earning her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, she continued her education and earned her Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2011. Since 2012, she has served as a part-time adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College teaching accounting courses. Felicia is passionate about giving back to the community by investing in students with her time and expertise.

Personally, Felicia is a mother of four and grandmother of two. She is active in her church and community and enjoys singing.

Felicia fills the Director of Finance role as long-time staff member Pam Myhre retires.

Pam Myhre retires as Director of Finance

Alpha Sigma Tau wishes Pam Myhre (Gamma Theta 2013/Penn State Behrend) luck as she begins her retirement. The Sorority had a two-month transition plan in place with Pam and Felicia, and at the conclusion of the transition period, Pam remained on staff in a very limited capacity to help complete a few specific projects.

Pam joined Alpha Sigma Tau Headquarters Staff in 2010 and played a critical role during this period of transition and growth for the Sorority. In her role, Pam was instrumental in modernizing the Sorority and Foundation’s financial management systems, improving chapter invoicing and payment collections, reducing payables, and developing and implementing accounting systems and procedures that are annually applauded by the Sorority and Foundations’ CPA firms.

Pam joined Alpha Sigma Tau as an alumnae initiate in 2013 and has been involved with the Central Indiana Alumnae Association. After spending nearly her entire career working in non-profit accounting and finances, Pam looks forward to enjoying her retirement.

Kristi Geiger joins Headquarters Staff as Director of Development

Alpha Sigma Tau welcomes Kristi Geiger as Director of Development for the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation. Kristi comes to Alpha Sigma Tau most recently from the March of Dimes Indiana where she served as Executive Director. As Director of Development for the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation, Kristi is responsible for inspiring and cultivating a culture of philanthropy within Alpha Sigma Tau.

As a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women, Kristi’s passion for non-profit work began through her sorority membership where she was involved in coordinating alumnae giving and fundraising for the group’s literacy programs.

Kristi began her development career with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and since then has served various nonprofits including Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana/Michiana and Crossroad Child & Family Services. Kristi graduated from Indiana University Fort Wayne.

Kristi succeeds Emily Hamsher Kindred in the Director of Development position.

Emily Hamsher Kindred, CFRE departs as Director of Development

Alpha Sigma Tau sincerely thanks Emily Hamsher Kindred (Beta Delta 2008/Duquesne) for her five years of service as Director of Development. Emily, the first to serve in the position, played a significant role in establishing a solid groundwork for the Foundation’s fundraising processes and programs. Emily’s contributions include but are not limited to

  • Implementing annual giving strategies, including Founders Day of Giving
  • Modernizing existing annual giving traditions, including Convention’s Yellow Rose Stickers and Silent Auction
  • Communicating consistently with Foundation donors
  • Establishing the Foundation’s giving societies and circles

Alpha Sigma Tau wishes Emily the best of luck as she continues her career in philanthropy.

Mikki earned both her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). For her outstanding work, Mikki was recognized by the University with an award and multiple nominations.

Jessi Zabriskie departs as Administrative Assistant

Alpha Sigma Tau thanks Jessi Zabriskie for her hard work and dedication during her time as the Sorority’s Administrative Assistant. Jessi joined the team in 2014 and was instrumental in the day-to-day operations of both the Sorority and Foundation. For many members and friends, Jessi was the “front door” to Alpha Sigma Tau—answering general questions, working with members on administrative tasks, and greeting visitors and vendors to Headquarters.

Alpha Sigma Tau wishes Jessi well as she begins a new chapter.
