Night to Reunite is BACK April 7!
The wait is over! Our biggest night for Sisterhood returns!
Thursday, April 7, is Alpha Sigma Tau’s Night to Reunite—our night set aside for connecting with Sisters.
With so much happening in the world right now, take a few hours on Thursday, April 7, for yourself and refill your cup with Sisterhood.
Not sure if you want to host an event virtually or in person yet? Don’t worry. Just save the date and spread the word.
More details coming soon!
How it Works
It’s simple. On Thursday, April 7, get together with one or more AΣΤs and just have fun!
During Night to Reunite’s early years, Sisters connected with one another almost exclusively in person. Since 2020, ‘events’ have expanded to include more virtual meetups and hangouts.
Whether you want to meet new Sisters or you look forward to reconnecting with your best gal pals, this night is all about you enjoying the evening with Sisters.
Details on how to register your event and event ideas are coming soon!
If you have any questions about Night to Reunite, please contact Justina Solties, Director of Communications and Engagement, at jsolties@alphasigmatau.org or 317-613-7572.
A look back on Night to Reunite…
If you’re interested in hosting a virtual meetup, please let us know at this form here. If you select public, we’ll list your event on our website here and promote it to Sisters. If you select ‘private,’ we will not promote your event to the public; however, knowing about it helps us monitor the popularity and success of Night to Reunite.
Here are a few ideas, tips, and tools to help you connect with Sisters on Thursday, April 7.
Ideas for your ‘meetup’
Happy Hour
Happy hours were one of the most popular ways to connect in past years’ Night to Reunite meetups, and that doesn’t have to end this year. Host a virtual happy hour to catch up with Sisters via group FaceTime, Zoom, or another video platform of your choice.
Host a Themed Meetup
Ask your Sister-friends to get together on FaceTime, Zoom, or another video platform and consider having a theme.
- Baking Party – Baking is believed to reduce stress. Encourage everyone to bring their favorite baking recipe and spend the evening baking together. Swap the stories behind your favorite recipes and share your tips and techniques.
- Craft Night – Are you and your Sister-friends fans of crafting, scrapbooking, planner decorating, card making, or some other creative hobby? Do it together on Thursday, April 2! You all don’t have to do the same activity; simply ‘being’ together makes it more fun.
- Throwback Thursday – Virtually connecting with your chapter Sisters? Break out your old photos from college beforehand and take a stroll down memory lane together!
- Game Night – Play a game together. Try a game of Uno, Yahtzee Party, or Monopoly over Zoom or download the app Houseparty to have in-app access to games like Heads Up and Cards Against Humanity.
- Plan a Girls Trip – Use Night to Reunite to plan your next girls’ weekend. The dates may be uncertain, but you can use this time to gauge interest, make a shortlist of destination options, and share what you’re hoping to get out of a trip together.
Movie Night
Grab your popcorn and host a virtual movie night with Netflix Party. Netflix Party syncs up your movie and adds a chat box so you and Sisters can share your thoughts and connect throughout the movie. It’s an extension only available on Chrome browsers on desktop and laptop computers.
“Travel” Somewhere New
We can’t travel right now, but we can still explore. Ask your Sister-friends if they want to check out a museum or visit a national park on your virtual meetup.
Tools to connect with Sisters virtually
There are many options, but here are just a few of our favorite tools to connect virtually with Sisters:
Zoom is a great option for video calls, and Alpha Sigma Tau can offer you a branded basic Zoom account for the evening. A basic account will allow users to connect via video conferencing for up to 40 minutes. Submit the Zoom Account Request Form here. We even have AΣT virtual backgrounds you can use!
Virtual Meetups Open to All Sisters
As virtual events open to all Sisters are reported, we’ll list them here. If you’re not taking part in your own meetup with your close Sister-friends, consider taking part in one of these events or register your own!
