Convention awards are a longstanding tradition. We are proud to recognize our collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters and associations, and individual members and friends who have all contributed to enriching our Sisterhood or our communities.
Applications and nominations for individual awards closed on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Applications and nominations for collegiate chapter/alumnae group awards are due by Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. If required, applications/nominations are collected at their respective links below.

Awards for Individuals
Ada A. Norton Award
The Ada A. Norton Award honors an alumna who, through longevity, has demonstrated outstanding service to the Sorority in an effective, creative, and dedicated manner.
Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award
The Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award honors an outstanding alumna in good standing who has given exceptional dedication and faithful service to her alumnae chapter and community for a minimum of five years.
Carrie W. Staehle Award
The Carrie W. Staehle Award honors an initiated Chapter Advisory Board member for exceptional service to their chapter and to the Sorority.
Order of the Yellow Rose
The Order of the Yellow Rose honors an alumna who has given long, faithful service or for the successful performance of a special project for Alpha Sigma Tau.
The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award
The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award honors collegians, alumnae, or collegiate or alumnae chapters who have made outstanding contributions to the Greek cause on a campus, in a community through Panhellenic service, or to NPC.
McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence
The McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence Award honors an individual who has contributed outstanding service to the betterment of the fraternity/sorority system.
Thomas J. King, Jr. Award for Excellence
The Thomas J. King Award for Excellence was established to honor those individuals who are neither members of Alpha Sigma Tau nor Faculty Advisors, but who have greatly contributed to the growth and development of the Sorority.
Awards for Alumnae Chapters and Associations
Collegiate Chapter Engagement Excellence Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating excellence in cultivating collegiate chapter relationships, support, and programming.
Alumnae Branding Excellence Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations exhibiting the best use of social media platforms, promotion of chapter/association activities and events, and awareness-building.
Alumnae Growth and Retention Excellence Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations exhibiting a culture of excellence and commitment to membership recruitment and retention.
Alumnae Innovation Excellence Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating innovative solutions to alumnae group or Alumnae Panhellenic opportunities or challenges and successfully executing initiatives for positive outcomes or improvement.
Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Alumnae Chapter Philanthropic Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating an exceptional commitment to supporting the Women’s Wellness Initiative through philanthropy, service, and/or advocacy efforts.
Alumnae Programming Excellence Award
This award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations cultivating an exceptional member experience through fun and innovative programs, events, and activities.

🌟 Academic Excellence Award
The Academic Excellence Award is presented to the chapters with the highest average chapter GPA for Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Fall 2021.
🌟 Academic Improvement Award
The Academic Excellence Award is presented to the chapters with the greatest improvement in their average chapter GPA from Fall 2020 through Fall 2021.
🌟 Academic Programming Excellence Award
The Academic Programming Excellence Award is presented to chapters achieving individual and/or chapter academic success through academic programming efforts.
💚 Alumnae Engagement Excellence Award
The Alumnae Engagement Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating excellence in alumnae programming, communications, and connections.
💚 Campus Citizenship Excellence Award
The Campus Citizenship Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating active engagement in their campus and Panhellenic communities.
📸 Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Marketing and Communications
The Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Marketing and Communications is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting the best use of social media platforms, website content, and additional marketing mediums to promote their chapter and the Sorority experience.
📸 Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Video or Digital Scrapbook
The Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Video or Digital Scrapbook is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting the best use of a values-based promotional video or digital scrapbook that accurately and realistically portrays the chapter’s membership and the chapter experience.
📋 Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award
The Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating a commitment to chapter management and outstanding operational performance.
💰 Financial Excellence Award
The Financial Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting strong budgeting and billing practices, financial management, and overall financial health.
🎫 Health and Safety Excellence Award
The Health and Safety Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting an outstanding commitment to risk prevention, education, and management.
🌱 Growth and Retention Excellence Award
The Growth and Retention Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting a culture of excellence and commitment to membership recruitment and retention.
🌱 Growth and Retention Improvement Award
The Growth and Retention Improvement Award is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting significant efforts and improvement in membership recruitment and retention.
⚓️ Innovation Excellence Award
The Innovation Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating innovative solutions to chapter or Panhellenic community opportunities or challenges and successfully executing initiatives for positive outcomes or improvement.
💚 Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Philanthropic Award
The Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Philanthropic Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating an exceptional commitment to supporting the Women’s Wellness Initiative through philanthropy, service, and/or advocacy efforts.

The Sisterhood Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters successfully cultivating healthy interpersonal relationships between members.

Awards for Individuals
Ada A. Norton Award
The Ada A. Norton Award is to honor an alumna who, through longevity, has demonstrated outstanding service to the Sorority in an effective, creative, and dedicated manner. >> Nominate a Sister
The Ada A. Norton Award is named in honor of one of Alpha Sigma Tau’s first chapter advisors. Ms. Norton was a Patroness who assisted in advising the Alpha Chapter. She also worked relentlessly to make sure Alpha Sigma Tau met the qualifications to be a National Sorority. She directed the first National Convention and wrote much of our sacred Sorority Ritual. This award was first presented in 1946 at the 8th National Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Applicant may have:
- Improved or helped establish new educational programs to enhance the growth and development of the National Organization
- Gave exceptional service to the Sorority, both nationally and locally
- Improved educational program(s) for the Sorority Involvement in extension of alumnae or collegiate chapters
- Represents the National Organization
- Works for the good of the National Organization in fraternity/sorority-related organizations
Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award
The Anchor Award honors outstanding alumnae in good standing who have given exceptional dedication and faithful service to their alumnae chapter or association and the community for a minimum of five years. >> Nominate a Sister
Lois Schweikart O’Dell joined the Lambda Chapter at Temple University and served as the Financial Secretary of the National Foundation when the first contribution was made in May 1984. Previously, she served the Sorority as Director of Alumnae and Chairman of the National Headquarters Fund. Lois served in every office of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter, and was very active in her church, with her high school alumni association, and in the community. Over the years, Lois developed an interest in the improvement of the judicial and penal systems. She was a subcommittee chairman for the Citizens Committee for the Improvement of Justice, and was a member of the Task Force on Criminal and Juvenile Justice. Lois, who passed away in 2001, and her husband, Robert, were married for 59 years and had two children.
It shall be presented to those alumnae who are not presently in service to the National Organization.
Carrie W. Staehle Award
The Carrie W. Staehle Award is to honor initiated Chapter Advisory Board members for exceptional service to their chapter and the Sorority. >> Nominate a Sister
Mrs. Staehle first served as National Treasurer in 1925 after Alpha Sigma Tau became a National Sorority. She then served as Alpha Sigma Tau’s third National President, from 1934 to 1949. She continued her involvement and volunteerism well beyond her presidency. During her 50-year service to Alpha Sigma Tau, she met and influenced more members than any other officer or chairman at the time. She was fiercely dedicated to our Ritual and values, and inspired others to live by them. She firmly believed that the ultimate purpose of sorority membership was to influence the members to become their best selves at work, in school, and in their communities. No one in Alpha Sigma Tau’s history has had a more dramatic and lasting influence on the Sorority’s growth and development than Carrie Staehle.
The nominee may have assisted the collegiate chapter by:
- Supporting the chapter through an extraordinarily difficult time
- Energizing a chapter and helping it to become a well-established group
- Coaching the chapter to significant improvements in growth, retention, chapter operations, or overall member experience
- Providing supervision, guidance, and devotion to the collegiate chapter over a long period of time
Order of the Yellow Rose
The Order of the Yellow Rose was created to honor alumnae in good standing who have given long, faithful service, or for the successful performance of a special project for Alpha Sigma Tau. >> Nominate a Sister
Examples of special projects may include but are not limited to leading a committee, serving on a task force, leading a major fundraising effort, or long-term service in a volunteer capacity.
Outstanding New Advisor Award
The Outstanding New Advisor Award is given to a Chapter Advisory Board member who has demonstrated exceptional service and a deep commitment to advising practice in their first three years of advising. >> Nominate a Sister
Nominees:
- Build healthy, professional, and positive relationships with collegiate members
- Support the goals and priorities of the chapter in addition to operational and programmatic expectations
- Appropriately hold members and officers accountable to responsibilities, expectations, and policies
- Seek advice, guidance, and coaching from other Chapter Advisory Board members or Headquarters Staff
- Participate in available training and educational opportunities
The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award
The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award was established in 1977 to honor members of Alpha Sigma Tau who exemplify true Panhellenic service. Nominees for the award may be collegians, alumnae, collegiate chapters, or alumnae chapters or associations that have made outstanding contributions to the fraternity and sorority cause on campus, or in a community through Panhellenic service, or to the National Panhellenic Conference. >> Nominate a Sister
Mary Louise Doyle embodied the true meaning of Panhellenic service and sisterhood. During her years of service to Alpha Sigma Tau, Mrs. Doyle was most proud of her time on the NPC Delegation. In this capacity, she earned the respect of other National Sororities for her work and dedication.
The nominees must have fulfilled Sorority commitments and responsibilities. Nominees may have contributed in the following ways:
- Assisted with Panhellenic recruitment as a college Panhellenic member or as an alumna per request from the campus
- Been an active member of an Alumnae Panhellenic where there is an Alpha Sigma Tau chapter, and promoted Alpha Sigma Tau interest in the group
- Served as a College or Alumnae Panhellenic officer, influencing an outstanding and productive year
- Instrumental in successfully promoting the Panhellenic spirit and goals
- Revitalized an existing but inactive College or Alumnae Panhellenic
- Established a new College or Alumnae Panhellenic where one did not exist
- Led a worthy Panhellenic project
McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence
The McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence Award honors an individual who has contributed outstanding service to the betterment of the fraternity/sorority system. >> Nominate a Friend of the Fraternal Community
The McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence Award is named in honor of Cynthia McCrory, Alpha Alpha/Ball State alumna, and Alpha Sigma Tau’s first and only NPC Chairman, who served from 1983 to 1985.
An ideal nominee for this award would meet one or more of the following recommended criteria:
- Be from outside the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority
- Be from any campus, regardless of whether Alpha Sigma Tau has an active collegiate chapter there
- Be a female or male nationally-known educator, fraternity/sorority executive, or university/college administrator in student affairs
- Exemplify the finest tradition of fraternal service
- Make noteworthy contributions in relations between sororities and fraternities and the community in which she or he is a part
- Show significant leadership among educators in relations between college administrators and fraternity and sorority life
- Have sustained successful leadership in interfraternity affairs
- Be a respected spokesperson for the important causes of fraternal ideals
Thomas J. King, Jr. Award for Excellence
The Thomas J. King, Jr. Award of Excellence was established in 1996 to honor individuals who have made a significant impact of Alpha Sigma Tau but are neither members of Alpha Sigma Tau nor serving as Faculty Advisors. >> Nominate a Friend of AΣΤ
The award was established to recognize individuals who have given freely and generously of their time and skill for the benefit of the Sorority. The first award was given at the 1996 National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
Awards for Alumnae Chapters and Associations
Collegiate Chapter Engagement Excellence Award
The Collegiate Chapter Engagement Excellence Award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating excellence in cultivating collegiate chapter relationships, support, and programming. Applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Chapter/association hosts, sponsors, or participates in programs or activities for or with a collegiate chapter (i.e. Homecoming, Ritual, Milestones, etc.)
- Chapter/association provides help and support to aid in collegiate chapter success (i.e. fundraising, Chapter Advisory Board recruitment, potential new member recommendations, recruitment preparation, career planning and support, finals kits, scholarship donations, etc.)

Alumnae Branding Excellence Award
The Alumnae Branding Excellence Award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations exhibiting the best use of social media platforms, promotion of chapter/association activities and events, and awareness-building. Applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Updated and active social media presence
- Active promotion of Alpha Sigma Tau and chapter/association activities and events
- Adequate and realistic representation of chapter/association membership composition and member activities/interests
- Commitment to Alpha Sigma Tau brand standards and guidelines

Alumnae Growth and Retention Excellence Award
The Alumnae Growth and Retention Excellence Award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations exhibiting a culture of excellence and commitment to membership recruitment and retention. Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Chapter/association engages in intentional efforts to recruit current Alpha Sigma Tau members to join the chapter/association
- Chapter/association actively works to recruit alumnae initiates
- Chapter/association has grown membership over the Convention cycle

Alumnae Innovation Excellence Award
The Alumnae Innovation Excellence Award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating innovative solutions to alumnae group or Alumnae Panhellenic opportunities or challenges and successfully executing initiatives for positive outcomes or improvement. Applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Clear identification of an opportunity or challenge related to one or more of the following:
- Inclusive and welcoming member experience
- Supporting Sisters in financial need
- Developing a new approach to a program or process
- Developing a new recruitment, growth, or retention strategy
- An Alumnae Panhellenic need or issue
- Development and implementation of an appropriate and innovative solution to address the identified opportunity or challenge
- Positive outcomes or improvement as a result of the implemented solution
- Development of strategies to sustain the positive outcomes or improvement

The Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Alumnae Chapter Philanthropic Award is presented to alumnae chapters and associations demonstrating an exceptional commitment to supporting the Women’s Wellness Initiative through philanthropy, service, and/or advocacy efforts. Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Engagement with National Service Partners and other women’s-focused organizations
- Participation in or coordination of meaningful projects that meet a community need
- Timely remission of philanthropic donations to benefiting organizations (if applicable)

- Chapter/association hosts a variety of innovative and interesting activities, events, and programs
- Chapter/association demonstrates evidence of cultivating a welcoming environment for members of all ages
- Chapter/association hosts a Founders Day event annually

🌟 Academic Programming Excellence Award
The Academic Programming Excellence Award is presented to chapters achieving individual and/or chapter academic success through academic programming efforts.
Chapter applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Minimum 3.0 average chapter GPA each semester (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025)
- Use of individual Academic Improvement Plans to support members on academic risk and probation
- Use of innovative strategies and programs for supporting individual and chapter academic success
- Use of campus personnel or resources to support academic success
- Efforts to incentivize, recognize, and celebrate academic achievement

💚 Alumnae Engagement Excellence Award
The Alumnae Engagement Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating excellence in alumnae programming, communications, and connections.
Chapter applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Chapter hosts meaningful events for or involving alumnae
- Chapter appropriately engages and connects with alumnae throughout the year via social media, email, newsletters, mailings, and/or other forms of communication
- Chapter enlists appropriate alumnae help and support to aid in chapter success (ex: fundraising efforts, PNM recommendations, recruitment support, philanthropy or service participation, scholarship support, etc.)

💚 Campus Citizenship Excellence Award
The Campus Citizenship Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating active engagement in their campus and Panhellenic communities.
Chapter applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Chapter members are involved in and hold officer positions in other organizations on campus
- Chapter actively and positively promotes the sorority experience on campus
- Chapter has consistent representation at Panhellenic meetings and advocates for Alpha Sigma Tau appropriately; members hold leadership positions on the Panhellenic Council (if applicable)
- Chapter actively works to build positive Panhellenic and/or student organization relationships
- Chapter partners with other student organizations on campus to host/co-host events
- Chapter has developed positive working relationships with the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office; Chapter President meets regularly with the Fraternity and Sorority Life Advisor

Additional eligibility requirements: Letter of recommendation from the Fraternity and Sorority Life Advisor or campus administrator responsible for fraternity and sorority life on your campus, uploaded as a PDF document with the application. The letter of recommendation must be on campus letterhead and must include the recommender’s name, title, and contact information. The letter should speak to the criteria listed above.
📸 Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Marketing and Communications
The Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Marketing and Communications is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting the best use of social media platforms, website content, and additional marketing mediums to promote their chapter and the Sorority experience.
Chapters will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Maintains a consistent social media presence and updated website content
- Social media handles and bios follow organizational brand standards
- Representation of Core Values across marketing channels
- Representation of academic success, leadership, service and philanthropy, Sisterhood, and campus involvement/school pride across marketing channels
- Adequate and realistic representation of the chapter’s membership and member activities/interests
- Chapter regularly submits update to The Anchor
- Commitment to Alpha Sigma Tau brand standards and guidelines

📸 Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Video or Digital Scrapbook
The Chapter Branding Excellence Award: Video or Digital Scrapbook is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting the best use of a values-based promotional video or digital scrapbook that accurately and realistically portrays the chapter’s membership and the chapter experience.
Chapter applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Video or digital scrapbook does not exceed four (4) minutes in length
- Connection to and representation of the Core Values
- Representation of academic success, leadership, service and philanthropy, Sisterhood, and campus involvement/school pride
- Adequate and realistic representation of the chapter’s membership and the chapter experience
- Commitment to Alpha Sigma Tau brand standards and guidelines

📋 Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award
The Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award is presented to the collegiate chapter exhibiting the highest adherence to the ideals and integrity of Alpha Sigma Tau, as set forth in the Creed, in all of its actions, including living the Ritual and Core Values of Alpha Sigma Tau, enriching their own lives and the lives of others, and empowering women to excel in life.
The Chapter should demonstrate evidence of achievement in the following:
- Values and appreciates diversity in membership
- Supports Sisters’ endeavors
- Encourages Sisters to use talents and skills in ways that best serve the chapter
- Supports Sisters’ needs
- Enacts mission, vision, Core Values, expectations, and Ritual
- Cultivates an enjoyable and value-add experience for all members
- Creates sense of community and camaraderie
The Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award recipient will receive a cash award of $2,000.

📋 Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award
The Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating a commitment to chapter management and outstanding operational performance.
Chapters will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Chapter has established and documented priority areas, goals, and action items for the 2025-26 academic year
- Chapter utilizes the MyChapterRoom platform to support chapter communication, operations, and efficiency
- Successful completion of Officer Onboarding course bundles by Executive Committee members through the Alpha Sigma Tau Learning Lounge
- Participation by Executive Committee officers in Officer Academy
- Officer and Advisor participation in Live Learning programs
- Officer positions are filled and reflected correctly in MCR and Officer Portal
- Chapter bylaws and standing rules are reviewed and/or revised on an annual basis
- Timely reporting of new members and Initiation
- Timely completion and submission of the Class Reporting Form each semester
- Timely completion of roster updates and submission of status changes
- Chapter communicates consistently with members of the Chapter Support Team

💰 Financial Excellence Award
The Financial Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters exhibiting strong budgeting and billing practices, financial management, and overall financial health.
Chapters will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Timely payment of National dues, fees, and assessments
- Adherence to National Organization financial policies for collegiate chapters
- Timely submission of the Budget Submission Form each semester and utilization of the chapter budget template
- Officer and advisor participation in finance-related Live Learning programs and coaching calls
- Chapter utilization of MoneySmarts U courses
- Timely and accurate billing of new and collegiate members in Billhighway
- Maintenance of a general savings account that reflects savings of 10-30% of the chapter’s operating budget
- Adequate Officer Academy and Convention savings
- Timely management of uncoded prepaid card transactions and uncleared checks
- Effective management of outstanding debt and past due balances for new and collegiate members, alumnae members, and non-members

⚓️ Innovation Excellence Award
The Innovation Excellence Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating innovative solutions to chapter or Panhellenic community opportunities or challenges and successfully executing initiatives for positive outcomes or improvement.
Chapter applications will be evaluated on successful demonstration of evidence for the following criteria:
- Clear identification of an opportunity or challenge related to one or more of the following:
- Inclusive and welcoming member experience
- Improving member engagement through an enhanced member experience
- Supporting Sisters in financial need
- Supporting Sisters with mental health challenges
- A critical gap in members’ knowledge, attitudes, or behaviors around a Sorority expectation
- Feedback received from campus administrators and/or the National organization for an area of chapter improvement

💚 Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Philanthropic Award
The Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Philanthropic Award is presented to collegiate chapters demonstrating an exceptional commitment to supporting the Women’s Wellness Initiative through philanthropy, service, and/or advocacy efforts.
Chapters will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Engagement with National Service Partners and other women’s-focused organizations
- Utilization of CrowdChange or Billhighway Give for philanthropic fundraising
- Timely remission of philanthropic donations to benefiting organizations
- Ratio of net donation to philanthropic effort gross income (total amount raised – expenses = net donation)
- Hours per member of service and/or advocacy activity

Introducing the Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award – Convention Tournament!

This year, the entire Sisterhood will be involved in selecting the 2022 Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award recipient! We’ll be hosting a tournament where all Sisters will vote for the chapter they think is most deserving of this coveted award.
The Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award is presented to the collegiate chapter exhibiting the highest adherence to the ideals and integrity of Alpha Sigma Tau, as set forth in the Creed, in all of its actions, including living the Core Values of Alpha Sigma Tau, enriching their own lives and the lives of others, and empowering women to excel in life.
The chapter should demonstrate evidence of achievement in the following:
- Values and appreciates diversity in membership
- Supports Sisters’ endeavors
- Encourages Sisters to use talents and skills in ways that best serve the chapter
- Supports Sisters’ needs
- Enacts mission, vision, values, and expectations
- Cultivates an enjoyable and value-add experience for all members
- Creates sense of community and camaraderie
The Edward Jervey/Martha DeCamp Award recipient will receive a cash award of $2,000.

Up to two rounds of voting will take place to select the final award recipient, which will be announced at the 2022 National Convention in Tampa in June. - Encourage voting!

🎥 For Video Applications
Requirements
- Video applications must be no longer than 4 minutes in length (unless otherwise specified in the application); videos over 4 minutes will automatically be disqualified.
- A link to the video hosted on a third-party platform (ie: YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc.) must be provided with this application form; we are unable to accept video file uploads.
- Each speaker should state their full name and role in the chapter (if applicable) before speaking.
- Please view the video prior to submission to ensure the visual and sound quality will allow for adequate evaluation.
Tips
- Use a tripod/phone stand/selfie stick, if you have one, to steady your camera. If not, makeshift one by propping up your phone. If filming in “selfie” mode, film while you are sitting or standing still and try to minimize movement and shaking.
- Make sure you have the best lighting possible, and that the speaker’s entire face is in frame throughout the video.
- Be sure to address all the criteria requested. You are encouraged to develop talking points or a script to help make sure your response is clear, concise, and addresses what is asked. Make sure it’s clear which application criterion you are addressing when speaking.
- If you get nervous speaking in front of a camera, try practicing without the camera rolling at first, so you can get more comfortable.
Video Hosting Platforms
Your video application needs to be hosted on a third-party platform. You may use any third-party hosting site that you choose, so long as you provide a link in your application that evaluators can view. Here are instructions for YouTube and Google Drive:

- Sign in to your YouTube account.
- Upload your video to your account.
- Select the video application you want to share. Click the Edit button to access the video’s settings.
- Go to the Privacy section of the page. There you’ll see the option to mark your video as “unlisted”, “public”, or “private”. Select unlisted. This means only people with the link can view the video.
- Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button. Once you’ve done this your video will be an unlisted video.
- Provide the link to your video in the corresponding award application.
Google Drive
- Sign in to your Google account and open Google Drive.
- Select New>File Upload.
- Upload your video file.
- Select the file and click the blue Share button in the upper right.
- From the “Get link” section, set to “Anyone on the internet with this link can view.”
- Click “Copy link.”
- Provide the link to your video in the corresponding award application.

Tips
- Be sure to address all the criteria requested. Make sure it’s clear which application criterion you are addressing in your application.

The Thomas J. King, Jr. Award of Excellence was established in 1996 to honor individuals who have made a significant impact on Alpha Sigma Tau but are neither members of Alpha Sigma Tau nor serving as Faculty Advisors.
Julie has been a vital resource for the women of our Zeta Tau Chapter at Longwood University as they have navigated post-pandemic sorority life. A dedicated and involved mentor, Julie has been a champion for the Zeta Tau Chapter, challenging and supporting them to reach their full potential. With her encouragement and enthusiasm, the chapter has achieved its most successful year of growth in recent history. She has helped empower and encourage chapter officers to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make changes to improve the chapter experience.

Julie Wiley Ramsey graduated from Longwood University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She received a master’s of education in school administration, higher education from Old Dominion University in 1998 and an educational specialist degree from George Washington University in educational leadership and administration in 2006. Julie has completed the coursework towards a doctorate in educational administration and policy studies at The George Washington University.
As an undergraduate member of the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha, she served as president and treasurer. After graduation, she traveled as a leadership consultant and then started her sorority volunteer as a chapter advisor. She served in a variety of roles before being elected to National Council, first as a National Vice President of Membership (2010-2014) and then as National Vice President of Operations (2014-2016).
Fraternally, she has served as a small group facilitator for the National Interfraternity Conference’s Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and Beta Theta Pi’s Wooden Institute for Men of Principle.
Professionally, Julie is the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Longwood University. She is a member of the Association of Fraternity / Sorority Advisors and serves on their Foundation Fundraising Committee.
Julie lives in Farmville and Virginia Beach with her husband, Brandon. Her son Wiley is a junior at James Madison University. Her daughter Madison, who is also a Longwood alumna, lives and works in Virginia Beach.

McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence Award
The McCrory Order of Interfraternity Excellence Award honors an individual who has contributed outstanding service to the betterment of the fraternity/sorority system.
Dawn stands as a dedicated champion for the fraternity and sorority community. She continually emphasizes in her work, writing, and speaking engagements that fraternal membership is a key element of the collegiate experience. She previously received the Order of Fraternal Excellence Award for her exceptional contributions to college fraternity administration.

A strategist, researcher, author, and litigation expert, Dawn Wiese serves as chief operating officer of FRMT, Ltd., the only captive insurer in the fraternal industry. She is a former university vice president for student affairs and founder/partner of a consulting firm that serves higher education.
Dawn is regarded for her work as a court-recognized expert in litigation in higher education cases. She has published and presented extensively, including research about fraternity/sorority life as an exceptional undergraduate experience. Dawn has been awarded the North American Interfraternity Conference Silver Medal for jumpstarting the trade association’s research initiatives, led the team that received the Dr. Charles Eberly Oracle Award by the Association for Fraternity/Sorority Advisors for outstanding research in fraternity, was awarded the Fraternity Executives Association’s highest award given to a non-headquarters staff member, and received the Sigma Nu Regent’s Medallion of Merit.
Dawn is a member of Tri Delta Fraternity and former member of the National Panhellenic Conference delegation. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Virginia Tech and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dawn loves her work and prioritizes her faith and family first. She is the proud mother of Jillian (Epsilon Tau 2019/Kenyon), who lives in Arlington, Virginia and works for EY in government consulting in Washington, DC. Dawn is married to Larry Wiese, Executive Director of Kappa Alpha Order. They reside in Virginia’s beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award honors collegians, alumnae, or collegiate or alumnae chapters who have made outstanding contributions to the Greek cause on a campus, in a community through Panhellenic service, or to NPC.
Bethany plays a critical role in ensuring that Alpha Sigma Tau is represented in Panhellenic discussions on campuses and within the NPC. Her professional experiences give her an important perspective on what Alpha Sigma Tau can do to create conditions for growth on our campuses.

Bethany Yost Lestochi (Beta Delta 2012/Duquesne) has dedicated time to the Sorority for over a decade, beginning with serving as an Educational Consultant, helping with the establishment efforts of Epsilon Tau/Kenyon and Delta Mu/Cumberland.
She has also served as an NPC Alternate Delegate, a Recruitment Advisor, and was a participant in the AΣΤ Excel program. Since 2018, Bethany has supported many chapters as a Panhellenic Support Contact. She currently supports 13 Alpha Sigma Tau chapters in this capacity. She also currently serves the National Panhellenic Conference as an NPC Area Advisor to four campuses, a total setting specialist, and is a member of the Miami Women’s Alumnae Panhellenic Association.
Bethany earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising from Duquesne University and her master’s degree in higher education from Florida International University. Professionally, she worked in fraternity/sorority life for six years but now works in undergraduate admission at the University of Miami.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crossing new countries off her travel list, and hanging out with her husband, Anthony, and rescue pup, Basil.

The Mary Louise Mandrea Doyle Panhellenic Award honors collegians, alumnae, or collegiate or alumnae chapters who have made outstanding contributions to the Greek cause on a campus, in a community through Panhellenic service, or to NPC.
Lauren is a tremendous asset to the NPC’s Release Figure Methodology (RFM) team and often works to support campuses without AΣΤ chapters, embodying true Panhellenic spirit. In all her Panhellenic work, she shows great attention to detail, patience, and commitment to growing opportunities for women to join sororities.

Lauren Bendes Warren (Beta Xi 2005/Michigan Tech) has been active in various facets of the organization since her initiation. She served on the Delta Tau Advisory Board for over 13 years, including during a period of reorganization, as New Member Advisor, Community Relations Advisor, and Assistant Chapter Advisor. She has held several leadership roles in the Detroit Metro Alumnae Chapter over her 15 years of involvement, including Treasurer and President. Additionally, she was a graduate of the inaugural AΣΤ Excel Cohort
In 2018, Lauren was appointed by the National Panhellenic Council as a Release Figure Methodology (RFM) Specialist, where she assists 8-12 campuses annually by optimizing equal recruiting opportunities across all member organizations translating into system-wide sorority growth. In this role, she works alongside Fraternity Sorority Advisors and other appointed campus staff to provide guidance and support to uphold National Panhellenic standards.
Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. She holds internationally recognized certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She currently works at Cincar Consulting Group as the Director of Traffic Operations and Intelligent Transportation Systems, leading company-wide efforts to build, grow, and sustain the traffic engineering practice.
She is a proud wife and mother of two who enjoys cycling and volunteering at her children’s school.

The Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award honors an outstanding alumna in good standing who has given exceptional dedication and faithful service to her alumnae chapter and community for a minimum of five years.
Katie is the President of the Detroit Metro Alumnae Chapter and also served on the Delta Tau Chapter Advisory Board. In addition to the Sorority, she advises a multicultural club at her high school, volunteers with student leadership programs, and regularly volunteers with adoption and foster services. She creates a welcoming community wherever she goes and personifies our Core Value of Connections.

Katie VanGorder (Delta Tau 2004/Oakland) has been an engaged sister for 20 years. After holding several leadership roles as a collegian, she has served as the President, Vice President, Historian, and Philanthropy Chair of the Detroit Metro Alumnae Chapter over the last 15 years. Up until 2022, she also served as an advisor for the Delta Tau Chapter at Oakland University.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies – China at Oakland. After teaching English in China for a year, she followed up with a Post Baccalaureate Teaching Program at Eastern Michigan University. She is a proud teacher of 16 years and in 2018, won Chinese Teacher of the Year for Michigan. Highly involved with student activities, she is currently Junior Class Sponsor, Multicultural Club Sponsor, and has been elected Senior Class Sponsor by students for five years.
In addition to the regular school year, Katie has been a senior counselor at MASC/MAHS Leadership Camp for seven years. She is highly involved with pet rescue and has been a volunteer with Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren for over six years, having fostered over 80 cats to find them forever homes. She’s a proud mama to her two kitties, Captain Jack Sparrow and Thackery Binx, and retired greyhound Bolt. She lives in Royal Oak, MI and enjoys reading, watching movies, and working out with her gym buddies at Burn Fitness.

The Lois Schweikart O’Dell Anchor Award honors an outstanding alumna in good standing who has given exceptional dedication and faithful service to her alumnae chapter and community for a minimum of five years.
Karen is a founding member of the Phoenix/Valley of the Sun Alumnae Chapter and an integral volunteer in Mesa’s theatre world. She currently serves as a Panhellenic delegate to the Salt River Alumnae Panhellenic Association in addition to volunteering for the Mesa Arts Center, Gammage Auditorium, and several church committees. She is excited and willing to be involved in almost any service opportunity, setting a wonderful example to her Sisters.

As a collegian, Karen Keller Anderson (Alpha Alpha 1962/Ball State) was the chapter’s corresponding secretary and treasurer. She is a founding member of Phoenix/Valley of the Sun Alumnae Chapter, where she served as alumnae editor for 15 years. Karen was selected as Top Tau in 2016-17. She is a 25+ year member of Salt River Alumnae Panhellenic Association and was recording secretary, first vice president, and Alpha Sigma Tau’s alumnae Panhellenic delegate.
Karen has always been heavily involved with her community, particularly in the theatre world. For the past 19 years, she has volunteered at Mesa Arts Center with over 5,600 hours spent ushering, helping with special events, receptions, and festivals, and recruiting new volunteers. She also currently volunteers at Arizona State University’s Gammage Auditorium, with over 1,000 hours in the last 12 years.
Previously, she has served with Arizona State University’s Lyric Opera Theatre Guild as a board member for more than 22 years, six of which she served as Vice President.
She is a member of St. Matthew UMC in Mesa, AZ, and has been an usher there since 1987. Karen and her husband, Tom, have been Head Ushers for the past several years. Active in two women’s groups, she serves on Executive Committee and Worship Committee. She was awarded Special Mission Recognition in 2009 and participates in various community service projects such as Christmas gifts for needy children, school supplies drive, clothing and other items for Helen’s Hope Chest for foster children.
Karen earned her B. S. in education from Ball State in 1964 and then her M. Ed. from Kent State in 1971. She retired as a business education teacher. She taught senior high and adult education at Cuyahoga Falls High School and some business classes at Kent State.
Besides theatre, her primary hobby is genealogy. She enjoys spending time with family.

The Carrie W. Staehle Award honors an initiated Chapter Advisory Board member for exceptional service to their chapter and to the Sorority.
A longtime advisor to the Epsilon Kappa Chapter, Rachel has inspired countless collegians with her service, wisdom, and advice over the years. She also provides guidance and encouragement to her fellow Chapter Advisory Board members. Rachel has a passion and drive to help all our members grow into the very best version of themselves.

Rachel Detlev (Epsilon Kappa 2009/Trine) has been deeply involved in Alpha Sigma Tau for over a decade, holding various volunteer roles. She currently serves as the Chapter Advisor for the Epsilon Kappa Chapter at Trine University and as the Member Support & Accountability Advisor for both the Epsilon Kappa Chapter and the Epsilon Lambda Chapter at IU South Bend.
In her professional capacity, Rachel is a Senior Field Engineer at Northern Indiana Public Service Company, where she has been since 2012, specializing in project management. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification obtained in 2020 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Trine University in 2011.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Rachel finds joy in nurturing her garden, indulging in crafting activities, and experimenting with cooking and baking recipes. She cherishes quality time with her family and friends.

The Carrie W. Staehle Award honors an initiated Chapter Advisory Board member for exceptional service to their chapter and to the Sorority.
Described as a kind, thoughtful, and dedicated advisor, Karah encourages the Psi Chapter officers and other Chapter Advisory Board members to take on new challenges with enthusiasm, advocates for the Panhellenic community at James Madison University, and has fully committed herself to supporting Alpha Sigma Tau’s mission.

Karah Fissel Janevicius (Delta Omega 2012/Penn State Altoona) has served as an advisor for the Psi Chapter at James Madison University since 2019. During her time, Karah has held several advisor positions including Community Relations, Recruitment, Operations, Finance, and currently as the overall Chapter Advisor.
An initiated member of the Delta Omega Chapter at Penn State Altoona, Karah transferred and joined the Psi Chapter at James Madison University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs and an M.A. in Political Science.
Karah currently works on behalf of the U.S. rice industry to advance their interests through international trade policy. In her free time, Karah enjoys running, baking, and traveling with her husband.

Outstanding New Advisor Award
The Outstanding New Advisor Award honors a Chapter Advisory Board member who has demonstrated exceptional service and a deep commitment to advising practice in their first three years of advising.
Jocelyn was already the Organization Development Advisor when she decided to take on an additional role as the Member Support and Accountability Advisor, guiding the Epsilon Chi Chapter through this new support process. She is consistently helpful, supportive of other Chapter Advisory Board members, hands-on with collegians, and eager to learn as she goes.

Jocelyn Bulger Lensing (Epsilon Chi 2017/Minnesota Duluth) was a founding member of the Epsilon Chi Chapter. As a collegian, she served as the Director of Collegiate Alumnae Engagement and was the first Panhellenic President at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Today, she serves the chapter as the Organization Development Advisor and Member Support and Accountability Advisor, working alongside collegians to develop their decision-making, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Jocelyn earned a bachelor’s degree in cultural entrepreneurship and now owns her own sustainable wedding planning company, Jade Coordination. During the day, she manages hotel and venue sales as a group sales manager for Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast.
In her limited free time, Jocelyn loves to read romance novels, travel, host dinner parties for her girlfriends, and sing karaoke.

Outstanding New Advisor Award
The Outstanding New Advisor Award honors a Chapter Advisory Board member who has demonstrated exceptional service and a deep commitment to advising practice in their first three years of advising.
Over the past three years, Susan has revitalized the Alpha Pi Chapter at Slippery Rock University, garnering support from alumnae Sisters and expertly guiding the collegians as the chapter recovered from the pandemic. She is also excited to provide advice and insight to her fellow advisors, volunteering as an Advisor Panelist for Officer Academy 2024.

Susan Swartz (Alpha Pi 1979/Slippery Rock) reconnected with her chapter and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority in 2021, after spending more than 36 years working for the United States government.
While with the government, she served in the United States Air Force for 23 years as a Morse Systems Operator and an Intelligence Analyst. After retiring from the Air Force, Susan began her second career working with the National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) serving in Hawaii as the Regional Education and Training Director for the Pacific Theater and then as the Chief of the College of Cryptology at NSA/CSS Headquarters, Fort Meade, MD.
Upon retirement, Susan began advising with the Alpha Pi Chapter, serving as the Alumnae Engagement Advisor. In 2022, Susan volunteered to serve as the Chapter Advisor, albeit with some hesitation. She spent countless hours online reading chapter documents, taking online training courses, and attending live learning sessions to relearn Sorority life.
Susan earned an associate of science in communications technology from the Community College of the Air Force and a bachelor of science degree in human services from Wayland Baptist University.
Susan married her high school sweetheart, Jack, and they have been married for 43 years. They have two adult children, Joseph and Christina, and three grandchildren. In her free time, Susan enjoys traveling, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family.

The Order of the Yellow Rose honors an alumna who has given long, faithful service or for the successful performance of a special project for Alpha Sigma Tau.
Callie has been a dedicated advocate for the Upsilon Chapter since her graduation. She supports collegiate members in almost every imaginable way and encourages Upsilon alumnae to get excited about and stay involved with the chapter. Whether Callie is working with Executive Committee members, organizing a Homecoming event for alumnae, or renovating the Sorority house, she has dedicated her time, talent, and treasure to ensure that Alpha Sigma Taus at the University of Central Arkansas have a positive member experience.

Callie Sterling (Upsilon 2010/Central Arkansas) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, has served Alpha Sigma Tau at the local and National levels. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in 2013.
Upon graduating, Callie began advising the Upsilon Chapter as the Finance and Operations Advisor, a position she has held for over a decade. She accepted the Upsilon Assistant Chapter Advisor role in 2015 and became the Chapter Advisor in 2018. As an advisor at the Upsilon Chapter, Callie oversees daily operations. She spends her time on UCA’s campus, working directly with the chapter’s Executive Committee and her fellow advisors.
Recently, Callie worked with fellow advisor Katie Brown (Upsilon 2009/Central Arkansas) to guide the Upsilon Chapter through the Member Support and Accountability pilot program, a process organized through National Headquarters. Additionally, Callie was a member of the Governing Documents Committee in 2023-2024, an experience she thoroughly enjoyed.
Professionally, Callie is a self-employed photographer. She co-owns Sterling Imageworks Photography and Rock Town Media with her husband, Jaison. Callie has won a plethora of awards from the Arkansas Press Association for her journalism work with the former NLR Times. Her photography has been published in multiple print publications across her state and nationwide. She regularly photographs weddings, children, families, seniors, and newborns.
In her free time, Callie enjoys running, gardening, and traveling with Jaison and their son, Elias.

Ada A. Norton Award
The Ada A. Norton Award honors an alumna who, through longevity, has demonstrated outstanding service to the Sorority in an effective, creative, and dedicated manner.
Katherine has been an avid Alpha Sigma Tau volunteer and supporter from the very beginning. She has served three terms as a National Vice President and has been a key member of many Sorority committees and task forces. During her years of national service, she championed the Women’s Wellness Initiative and our National Service Partners, made connections with countless members across the country, and inspired others to give back to the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation, where she now serves as a board member. Katherine undoubtedly lives out the mission of Alpha Sigma Tau every day.

Katherine Onyshko (Delta Phi 2006/NYU) has engaged in service to the National Organization for more than twelve years. Her service to the National Organization started with the Executive Director Search Committee and continued through the 2024 Convention when she completed her third full term as a National Vice President. She is currently serving on the Foundation Board.
Katherine also served on the Nominations Committee, the Governing Documents Committee, and was a Chapter Advisor to the Delta Phi Chapter at New York University.
She graduated from New York University with two bachelor’s degrees, one in history and one in economics. After NYU, she served in the US Peace Corps, working for two years on gender development in Senegal, West Africa. She graduated from Columbia Law School and currently works as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York.
In her free time, Katherine does whatever her dog Annie wants to do.
