Mental Health and Wellness

When it comes to mental health, we believe it’s okay not to be okay. We’re here to normalize the conversation and help our members navigate their stressors and take control of their emotional wellness.

Did you know that one-in-four college students experience a mental health challenge? Or that one-in-four young adults between the ages of 18-24 has a diagnosable mental illness? Or that 75% of lifetime cases of mental health conditions begin by age 24?

These reasons and more are why Alpha Sigma Tau prioritizes our collegiate members’ mental health and provide these mental health resources:

Name Your Story

Brought to us by Dr. Lauren Cook, this program gives our collegiate members a chance to learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health concerns, provides training on how to talk about these experiences with their Sisters, and allows them to discover new forms of self-care.

Through video-based online learning modules, our members will come away with a new understanding of their mental health. By talking about mental health, we are not only making it okay for students to engage in their mental health pursuits but also supporting them in that journey.

Due to the specificity of the content, this course is only available to AΣT new and collegiate members and Chapter Advisory Board volunteers.
