National Council – November 2023
November 7, 2023
- Jenni Kemmery (Delta 1995/IUP) and Kate Wehby-Rauch (Gamma Xi 2009/Grand Valley), Excel Facilitators, joined the call to share a cohort progress update with the National Council.
- The National Council dissolved the charter of the Alpha Tau/PennWest Edinboro Chapter and instructed the CEO to develop plans for a future return to campus through the NPC reestablishment procedures.
- National President Jamie Jones Miller (Psi 1995/James Madison) and the CEO presented an overview of the upcoming in-person meeting weekend.
November 10-11, 2023
- The National Council met in Mt. Laurel, NJ, in conjunction with a magnificent regional Founders Day celebration and an in-person collegiate chapter and advisor growth academy. Nearly 100 members were in attendance. Jamie Jones Miller, National President, and Erika Bukva, Foundation President, shared remarks and recognized members in attendance.
- The National Council covered many strategic topics over their two-day in-person meeting, including artificial intelligence and the impact on Alpha Sigma Tau and using Alpha Sigma Tau’s position as a women’s organization to advance more women’s societal issues beyond the Sorority.
- The National Council conducted their quarterly informal evaluation.
- The National Council discussed plans for the 45th National Convention.
- The National Council discussed data recently received from the National Panhellenic Conference and its implications on Alpha Sigma Tau membership.
- The CEO updated the National Council on the annual budget and membership recruitment and retention data.
- The National Council discussed furthering the All In for Alpha Tau campaign.
- The National Council discussed upcoming member engagement opportunities.

- The National Council discussed committee process improvement, timelines, and future training models for standing committees.
- The National Council reviewed updates from the National Panhellenic Conference.
- The CEO presented updates and progress on the 2023-2024 budget.
