Headquarters Staff Updates
As 2025 begins, Alpha Sigma Tau announces the hiring and departures of Headquarters Staff members. You can see our full Headquarters Staff team here via our staff directory.
CEO Jim Paponetti departs Alpha Sigma Tau; Angie Bong serves as Interim CEO
After 15 years of his service to our members, Alpha Sigma Tau wishes Jim Paponetti the best as he embarks on the next part of his career.
Jim was hired in 2009 as Alpha Sigma Tau’s first Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this role, Jim facilitated the Sorority’s operational transformation: supporting a strategic-focused National Council, growing the professional staff, embracing our history and traditions, and building the infrastructure that allowed the Sorority’s impact to be accelerated in the lives of our members.
Since 2015, Jim has also served as the CEO of the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation, directing the creation of a robust charitable giving program that allows thousands of donors the opportunity to support the Sorority’s efforts financially.

The Sorority has a six-month plan in place to find a new CEO, and you can find out more about that role here. In the meantime, Angie Bong will serve as Interim CEO. Angie joined Alpha Sigma Tau in 2015 as Director of Chapter Services and most recently served as Alpha Sigma Tau’s Chief Operating Officer.
Angie will now be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sorority and Foundation, as well as supporting the National Council and Foundation Board.

Bevin Murphy Klabunde departs Alpha Sigma Tau; Jamie Bider Introne serves as Director of Chapter Services
Alpha Sigma Tau sincerely thanks Bevin Klabunde for her nearly two years of service as Director of Chapter Services.
During her time in the role, she helped create systems that allow chapters to self-reflect on their goals, worked to ensure health and safety remained a priority, and engaged in Panhellenic discussions at multiple colleges and universities. We wish her the best of luck as she continues her career.

Jamie Bider Introne (Delta Upsilon 2014/Saint Leo) will succeed Bevin in the Director of Chapter Services role.
Jamie joined Alpha Sigma Tau’s Headquarters Staff in 2018 as an Educational Consultant. Most recently, she served as Chapter Services Coordinator, where she focused on structured recruitment, Ritual, and chapter events and served various client chapters as their Headquarters Staff Contact.

Jessa Albert and Sarah Pinkerton Fraser move into new responsibilities
Jessa Albert (Delta Upsilon 2011/Saint Leo) will move from Director of Growth to Director of Chapter Volunteer Development. In this role, Jessa will focus more on developing the Chapter Advisory Board and other alumnae connections to benefit the collegiate chapter experience.

Sarah Pinkerton Fraser (Delta Pi 2012/Oglethorpe) will move from Assistant Director of Chapter Services to Director of Chapter Financial Services. In this role, Sarah will focus more on supporting chapters as they develop budgets and financial goals, monitor finances, and engage with our finance-based partners/vendors. She will also be heavily involved in administering the scholarship program for the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation.

Shelby Hanselman joins Headquarters Staff as Assistant Director of Health and Safety
Alpha Sigma Tau is excited to welcome Shelby Hanselman (Delta Tau 2016/Oakland) as Assistant Director of Health and Safety.
To sustain the long-term success of this organization, our collegiate chapters need to build and maintain strong, healthy, and safe cultures rooted in care and accountability. In this role, Shelby will oversee the operational management of the health, safety, and wellness initiatives, role model expectations about accountability, and manage the risk investigation and re-education processes.

Shelby received her master’s degree in Higher Education in Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University and her bachelor’s degree in communication from Oakland University, where she joined the Delta Tau Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau in 2016.
She most recently served as the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Valparaiso University, where she worked heavily in community-wide programming and initiatives for the FSL community. She is an active volunteer for the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA) as well as the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV).
Shelby is passionate about creating a transformational experience for individuals in fraternity and sorority life and is eager to work with members to continue pushing the mission and vision of Alpha Sigma Tau.
Outside of work, Shelby enjoys finding new restaurants to enjoy with friends, cheering on the Detroit Lions, and shopping.
