Gamma Iota Chapter – Kimberly Kahmer Scholarship

Just months after her college graduation, Kimberly Kahmer was diagnosed with a rare form of stomach cancer. She passed away just a year later, at the age of 23.

She is described by family and friends as having a positive attitude, lively spirit, and great sense of humor, as well as being a natural leader. During her time at York College, she served as a Gamma Iota chapter officer and was a member of the swim team, something she had been joy in since high school. She graduated with a degree in business and planned to have a career in marketing.
