June E. McCarthy Scholarship

The June E. McCarthy Scholarship is named in memory of June McCarthy (Pi 1932/Harris-Stowe). This award is reserved for an Alpha Sigma Tau member involved in the study of education.

About June McCarthy

June McCarthy was initiated into the Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau at Harris Teachers College in 1932. Her involvement with Alpha Sigma Tau continued after college, serving as Financial Secretary, Convention Chairman, Endowment and Life Membership Chairman, and Pi Alumnae Representative. June was a lifelong teacher, dedicating 46 years of her life to the St. Louis Public School System.

June’s legacy in the world continues to live on through the impact made with this scholarship.
