About Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp
Martha Drouyor Belknap DeCamp joined the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau in 1958 because she felt at home with the friendly and welcoming group of women with high academic and moral standards. They invited a freshman with no credentials to be part of their Sisterhood; and then pressed her to be their Chapter President her senior year. She was later active in the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor Alumnae Chapter, serving in many offices including Chapter President.
Martha was elected as Alpha Sigma Tau’s 11th National President at the 1996 Convention and served through Alpha Sigma Tau’s Centennial until 2002. As a member for over 50 years, Martha is grateful for the lifelong friendships which she continues to enjoy in Alpha Sigma Tau. She believes that she can never fully pay back what she has received from our Sisterhood.
