Zeta Chapter – Denny Strouse Scholarship

Dennis “Denny” Strouse was a longtime friend of the Zeta Chapter at Lock Haven University, maintaining a relationship with the chapter throughout the years.

A Zeta alumna in a 2011 issue of The Anchor described the relationship as: “What began as some Sisters helping a gentleman with his broken down car on the side of the road turned into a 30-year relationship of Denny always trying to help us back.”

In 2008, at the 37th National Convention, Denny won the Thomas J. King, Jr. Award of Excellence, which honors individuals who have made a significant impact on Alpha Sigma Tau but are neither members of Alpha Sigma Tau nor serving as faculty advisors.

After his untimely passing, the Zeta Chapter – Denny Strouse Scholarship was established to honor his memory, exclusively for Zeta Chapter members at Lock Haven.
