Headquarters Facility Updates

Updated October 8, 2025

The Alpha Sigma Tau National Council has made the thoughtful decision to sell our Indianapolis property, home to the Sorority’s Headquarters, office space to a portion of our professional staff, and our primary physical display of archives.

Throughout our history, Alpha Sigma Tau has embraced change with purpose and agility, continually evolving to meet the needs of our members and the world around us. In recent years, even before COVID-19 accelerated broader trends in remote work, our professional staff structure had already evolved to be more remote, reflecting Alpha Sigma Tau’s ongoing commitment to flexibility, efficiency, and innovation in how we work and serve our members.

The decision to sell the Headquarters facility reflects Alpha Sigma Tau’s future-focused vision, building on our longstanding culture of innovation and adaptability. By embracing new partnerships and exploring emerging technologies like AI, we are creating nimble ways to serve our members and strengthen the Sorority.

While the details of what comes next are still being explored, the National Council is focused on finding a solution that enhances operational efficiency, supports the evolving needs of our members, and keeps Alpha Sigma Tau strong for generations to come. We are confident that this is the right step to position our Sisterhood for continued excellence and impact over the next 125 years and beyond.

The Sorority will continue to share updates as information is available. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact National President Jamie Jones Miller or Chief Executive Officer Jordan Feldhaus at the contact information found in the FAQs below.

Evolving with Purpose: The Story of the Headquarters Facility

Since 2010, 3334 Founders Rd in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been the home of Alpha Sigma Tau Headquarters. Throughout the Sorority’s history, our space has evolved, moving from the National President’s home to an administrative hub, and ultimately to a fully equipped Headquarters supporting operations and programs. Over the years, this space has played a key role in supporting transformative organizational milestones, from the implementation of a modern governance model to the expansion of a thriving Foundation.

But our move to Indianapolis was just one chapter in a long story of adaptability and progress. Over the years, Alpha Sigma Tau’s Headquarters has taken many forms, reflecting the Sorority’s growth and evolution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you selling the building now?

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about many work and social changes. Organizations across all industries and sectors—including NPC organizations—began rethinking the way they structure the use of physical office space, often prompting more creative use of space to work, play and gather. Currently, over half of the Alpha Sigma Tau professional staff work remotely. As we consider the future, new partnerships and the integration of AI, AΣΤ needs to be on the cutting edge of innovation in the industry. This will allow us to grow and flourish for many years to come.

What prompted this decision to sell the building?

Due to rising costs and declining membership, AΣΤ has been challenged to think of ways to lower expenses, grow investments, and still provide an excellent membership experience. The National Council has considered this strategic direction for many years, and the sale of the building aligns with that long-term vision.

What does this mean for staff who work in the building?

Indianapolis-based and remote staff will continue supporting Alpha Sigma Tau as they do today. In the coming months, staff members will assess workflows and make thoughtful adjustments to ensure operations remain smooth and efficient throughout this transition. A coordinated plan will guide packing and logistics once a buyer is identified.

What is the anticipated timeline for a sale and decision about what happens next?

The building will be put on the market in mid-October 2025. We are hopeful for a competitive commercial real estate market that will provide the organization with a desirable timeline for downsizing and modernization.

Where should I send mail (checks to the Foundation, member Badges upon death or resignation, etc.)?

For now, continue to send mail and checks to our current address (3334 Founders Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268).

You can also contact us at headquarters@alphasigmatau.org or call 317-613-7575. You may also donate to the Foundation online here.

If that process changes, we will send out communication about an address change to all our audiences.

What happens to the archives, displays, and gifts at our Indianapolis Headquarters?

Our archives are a cherished part of Alpha Sigma Tau’s history, and preserving them remains a top priority. We have already launched a digital museum to make these stories and memories accessible to members everywhere, and we will continue to expand this collection as we reimagine the use of our Headquarters facility.

Now more than ever, your support is critical. Archives preservation is a top priority of the Foundation’s Giving Our All campaign, and donations help ensure these historical items are preserved and shared for generations to come.

I am a member; why did I not receive an announcement email?

An announcement was included in the Sorority’s October monthly newsletters, sent to all members with email addresses listed in our database. If you did not receive it, there are three possible reasons:

  • You have previously unsubscribed from AΣΤ emails.
  • We do not have your current email address.
  • The message went to your email’s “junk” or “spam” folder.

Please review your contact information and communications preferences online here . If you have not received a AΣΤ email in the last year and feel you may have unsubscribed in error, please contact us at communications@alphasigmatau.org or call 317-613-7572.

How can I help?
