The National Council approved the final version of their Operational Plan.
The National Council approved the petition of two new alumnae associations. The Sorority welcomes the Birmingham Alumnae Association and Garden State Alumnae Association, bringing the total number of active alumnae chapters and associations to 35.
The National Council participated in fundraising education hosted by the National Foundation. The National Council, as part of their Operational Plan, are engaging in efforts to support the Foundation’s fundraising efforts as that work directly impacts the Sorority’s programs and initiatives. Scheduled education will continue through October 2016.
The National Council hosted its own development by discussing Patrick Lencioni’s book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. The book is a great read for any leader. It identifies, in a parable story format, five dysfunctions of teams and most importantly, how to overcome those common barriers to team success. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the book in any format, consider shopping through AmazonSmile to benefit the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation with no additional cost to you.
