Michele L. Golob Scholarship
The Michele L. Golob Scholarship is named for Michele “Shel” Hujarski Golob (Delta Alpha 1995/Gannon). This award is reserved for a graduate student in her final year of an ACPE recognized Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
About Shel Golob
Shel graduated from Gannon University in 1998 where she joined the Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau. After graduation, Shel continued her education and earned a PharmD from Duquesne University in 2002. As a pharmacist, Shel has continued to work in high-level positions to provide quality service and medication management to patients across the Midwest.
Throughout her time as an alumna member, Shel has been actively involved in Alpha Sigma Tau. She has volunteered in multiple roles ranging from District President to Foundation Vice President. She also served on the National Council twice—first as Director of Collegiate Chapters and more recently as National Vice President.
Since her first gift in 2002, Shel Golob has been a loyal supporter of the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation—inspiring a culture of philanthropy through her extraordinary generosity. Shel is a member of the Charlotte Evans Floyd Society for Cumulative Giving and a member of our Friendship & Fidelity Monthly Giving Circle. Shel supports the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation because she has been inspired by so many women before her and what they have done for the organization. Shel feels every woman should have these opportunities—and more.
Thanks to Shel and donors to the Michele L. Golob Scholarship, the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation is empowering women to become the pharmacists of tomorrow.
