November 8-9, 2024

  • The National Council hosted their fall in-person meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the site of the 46th National Convention hotel. 
  • The National Council discussed their engagement through Founders Day and Founders Day of Giving.
  • Abigail Shilling, Director of Communications, Land O’Lakes, joined the National Council to discuss corporate communication strategy.
  • The National Council recessed the meeting to participate in a service project with Dress for Success Twin Cities.
  • Nicholle Probst and Emily Holloway facilitated the quarterly informal National Council evaluation.
  • The National Council discussed the potential Sorority Advisory Committee timeline and framework.
  • The National Council discussed strategies for Collegiate Vice President Recruitment. 
  • The Council discussed the timeline for the 2025 Excel Cohort and considered options for reconnecting prior participants.
  • The National President and CEO updated the National Council on the progress of the CEO Transition.
  • On Friday evening the National Council hosted a reception with area alumnae members.
  • On Saturday morning, the National Council accepted an invitation to join the Epsilon Xi Chapter at Gustavus Adolphus College for their annual Philanthropy Brunch. The event included fundraising activities for their local Women’s Wellness Initiative philanthropic partner and an emotional testimony from a guest speaker. Family and faculty and staff of the college were in attendance. The chapter raised over $2,000 through direct donations and their silent auction.

  • The CEO Search Committee and search firm joined the National Council to discuss next steps.
  • The CEO presented an overview of the Women’s Wellness Initiative as part of ongoing orientation.
  • The CEO and COO presented an overview of membership recruitment data.
  • The CEO presented an update on the organization’s financial status.
  • November 19, 2024
  • Dr. Grace Henry (Psi 2022/James Madison) joined the National Council, CEO Search Committee, and search firm to discuss unconscious and implicit biases in hiring processes.
  • The CEO presented an update on the Headquarters building refinance options.
