Want to Serve on the NPC Delegation? Applications Now Available!

The National Council of Alpha Sigma Tau is soliciting applications for volunteers to serve on the Sorority’s National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Delegation.

Delegates represent all Alpha Sigma Taus on the NPC Board of Directors. Delegation members serve on various committees, task forces, and work groups supporting the work of the Conference and all sorority women. The Alpha Sigma Tau NPC Delegation supports Alpha Sigma Tau chapters and associations in Panhellenic matters.

NPC Delegates are:

  • Appointed officers of the Sorority
  • Alumnae members in good standing
  • Appointed by the National Council
  • Appointed no later than July 1 in even numbered years and shall serve a two-year term or until her successor is appointed, and shall complete her duties through the Fall NPC Meeting following the end of her term. The NPC Delegate and Alternate Delegates may serve an unlimited number of consecutive terms.

Appointment of the 2016-2018 Alpha Sigma Tau NPC Delegation will take place prior to the 41st National Convention in June.

Position Descriptions:

  • NPC Delegate: The NPC Delegate represents Alpha Sigma Tau on the NPC Board of Directors and serves as a liaison between NPC and the Sorority concerning NPC policies, procedures and resources; promotes and assists chapters with Panhellenic matters; directs the Sorority’s NPC delegation; and performs other duties as assigned by the National Council.
  • NPC Alternate Delegates: The NPC Alternate Delegates represent the Sorority on NPC Standing Committee(s), chair NPC Standing Committee(s), and serve on special committees at the request of the NPC Executive Committee. Alternate Delegates assist the NPC Delegate in fulfilling NPC and inter-Greek obligations and duties of the Sorority; and perform other duties as assigned by the National Council and/or NPC Delegate.
