Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation Announces Revised Cumulative and New Annual and Planned Giving Societies

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation (Foundation) is pleased to announce the launch of new and revised giving societies to recognize donors for contributions made within a calendar year, cumulatively over a lifetime, and through estate planning.

This enhanced process of donor recognition offers the opportunity for Foundation donors to easily track their charitable gifts, as well as be acknowledged publicly and graciously for their generosity and continued commitment.

Individuals, chapters, associations, foundations, and businesses falling within the following categories will be recognized in annual publications, on the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority website, and at the Sorority’s biennial Convention and other national events unless indicated otherwise by the donor. Recognition for the Annual Giving Levels and Anchor Society will begin with the 2015 calendar year, and the Cumulative and Legacy Societies are representative of all gifts or bequests since the Foundation’s establishment in 1982.

Annual Giving Levels
Annual giving levels recognize contributions of $100+ within one calendar year (January 1-December 31) to any of the Foundation’s initiatives including the Anchor Fund, Leadership Fund, Alpha Sigma Tau Future Fund, and Scholarship Funds.

Cumulative Giving Societies
The revised cumulative giving societies recognize the lifetime contributions of $5,000+ to any of the Foundation’s initiatives. The names of these societies honor outstanding women in Alpha Sigma Tau’s history and are indicative of the extraordinary commitments those recognized have made to the Foundation.

Anchor Society
The Anchor Society recognizes leadership contributions totaling $1,899+ annually (January 1-December 31) to the Anchor Fund. Gifts made to the Anchor Fund support the most pertinent initiatives of the Foundation.

Legacy Society
The Legacy Society recognizes bequests/estate gifts of any percentage or dollar amount to the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation. Recognition in the Legacy Society occurs as soon as the Foundation is notified of a formal gift commitment.

Qualified giving circle and society donors will be notified of their current status and announced publicly in the coming weeks.
