MyChapterRoom Transition FAQs and Resources

In fall 2019, Alpha Sigma Tau announced that all chapters would be transitioning chapter communication tools from OmegaOne to MyChapterRoom (MCR).

In September, MCR is hosting webinars for Collegiate Chapter Presidents, Vice Presidents of Operations, and Vice Presidents of Organization Development to get chapters on-boarded to the platform.

Below are some FAQs and additional resources to help you and your chapter navigate the transition. If you have any additional questions regarding the transition to MCR, please contact your Headquarters Staff Contact, whose information is listed in Officer Portal.

Chapter Website Resources

Beginning Tuesday, December 17, chapter websites as they exist will no longer be available and all chapter websites will be switched to the MCR website template.

Please update your chapter website through MCR by Tuesday, December 17.

Update These Pages First

The website template provided to your chapter contains blank pages that depend on your customization. Start editing/preparing your website with the following pages:

  • Chapter History: Tell us about your chapter at your school. When were you established? What awards have you won? What’s your chapter known for at your campus?
  • Recruitment Information: Tell PNMs about your recruitment information. When are the dates of structured recruitment? How do they sign up? What can they expect?
  • Letter from the Growth Team: Write a warm note to PNMs inviting them to learn more about Alpha Sigma Tau and sorority life at your school.
  • Our Sisters in Action: Share how your chapter is involved in philanthropic work/Women’s Wellness Initiative. Show your visitors how your chapter ‘makes the lives of others a little happier and richer.’
  • Alumnae events: Add any upcoming events for alumnae here or post photos from a recent alumnae event. If you don’t have any upcoming events, invite them to update their information or to check back soon.
  • Featured alumnae: Use this page to spotlight a few successful and supportive alumnae of your chapter, so visitors can see the lasting impact Alpha Sigma Tau on your campus has on women. Feature alumnae who are truly Defining Excellence by utilizing the skills and network they gained through AΣT in their careers, relationships, civic engagement, and lives.

There are also a few pages that would paint a much more detailed picture of your chapter. If you choose to leave these as-is, that’s completely okay. But once you’re finished with the pages above, consider adding some customization to these pages:

  • Academics: Talk about different majors, internships, how Sisters are successful in academics, academic achievements, # of Sisters on Dean’s List, etc.
  • Campus Involvement: Share what other clubs/organizations Sisters are members or leaders of, how they get involved outside of the Sorority
  • Home page: make it inviting for students and alumnae of that particular school

Lost Sisters

Your chapter will need to customize your chapter’s Lost Sister page so that when a website visitor clicks your Lost Sisters webpage, they’ll be directed to the Lost Sisters exclusively from your chapter. Use the search bar below to find your chapter’s custom URL to copy/paste into your chapter’s website Lost Sisters page.
