National Council Update – September 2022

September 6, 2022

  • Erika McManus Bukva (Delta Rho 2000/Chowan), Foundation Board President, and Nadiya Siregar Conner (Gamma Upsilon 1994/Cal State LA), National Foundation Board Member, provided an overview of the Foundation operations as part of the continued National Council orientation.
  • The National Council reviewed and adopted the 2022-2023 National Council Operational Plan.
  • The National Council discussed the next steps for the DEI Committee.

September 20, 2022

  • Dr. Grace Henry (Psi 2022/James Madison), DEI Consultant, joined the National Council to provide an overview of the progress of the Council and organization as it relates to DEI.
  • The National Council reviewed the 2022-2023 Operational Plan.
  • The CEO provided a timeline update on the CPA firm’s work on the reviewed financial statements and tax returns.
  • The MOU was renewed by the Foundation Board on September 15, 2022, and presented to the National Council for renewal. It was renewed with no changes.
  • The CEO provided information regarding the Detriot, Michigan, National Council meeting to be hosted in conjunction with the Alpha Initiation November 10-13, 2022.
